Angel Neris
Angel Neris
A multicultural artist who paints a wide variety of cultural themes resides in Chicago. Neris contributes some of his inspiration for painting in this type of arena to his array of many friends with a diverse cultural background.
His mediums are oil and acrylic and even though Neris enjoys creating artwork at a bigger scale at his studio and gallery (NerisArt Gallery & Studio). The artist is also comfortable painting smaller versions with the same feeling and inspiration especially for events like the one held every year at Palmer Square.
Many people tend to ask Neris if he paints to sell; just like any profession, one likes to get paid. But regardless, the artist has a passion for painting; therefore, he paints even if he does not get paid.
What truly fulfills this amazing artist is the expression on people's faces and their reaction after looking at his artwork. The artist loves art and it is his way of expressing and creating happiness, sadness, tenderness and it is Neris way of releasing stress. He truly beliefs "Art is a vehicle for expression, art is the ability to express anything and everything".
This year, the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance is featuring Neris, along with a few other community artists, displaying different mediums of artwork, which one can see at the 3rd Annual Palmer Square Boulevard Arts Festival.
