
Chicago Latino Arts & Culture Summit
The Chicago Latino Arts & Culture Summit is the only gathering of its kind in the nation that brings together Latino arts and culture organizations to advocate for tangible resources to support their growing artistic presence in the city of Chicago and beyond. In 2022 this effort was founded by Latino arts leaders that included PRAA Founder and Executive Director Carlos Hernandez, National Museum of Mexican Arts Founder and CEO Carlos Tortolero, International Latin Culture Center Founder & CEO Pepe Vargas and Chicago Latino Theater Alliance Founding Executive Director Myrna Salazar†. This initiative was also supported by the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation.
In 2023, PRAA’s Founder and Executive Director Carlos Hernandez served as the Summit chair. The Summit was attended by over 20 non profit Latino arts and culture organization with the participation of 18 foundation grant officers.
